FuzziBunz One Size Diaper Review

My FuzziBunz one size diaper review is a little different than most. While I do like the great colors and the soft inner fleece, the real reason I like these diapers is that they are so easy to use. Babies tend to change sizes as they grow. Their waist gets bigger, then they thin out as they learn to walk. With the adjustable elastic in FuzziBunz one size diapers, all you need to do is adjust the buttonhole elastic in the legs and waist for a perfect fit.
One size diapers are a great solution to the problem of having to invest in several sizes of cloth diapers as your baby grows. The one thing you should know before buying any one size cloth diaper is that there is no guarantee that any one style of diaper will fit your baby perfectly from birth to potty. For most babies, the average one size cloth diaper will be fine from about 8 pounds to 35 pounds. However, babies grow at different rates and they also come in many shapes and sizes.
Some babies are too thin or tiny at birth to fit into any one size cloth diaper. For those babies, there are many newborn cloth diapers that will fit perfectly up til about 10-15 pounds. The FuzziBunz one size does an excellent job of fitting most newborns. Because you can adjust the elastic instead of folding the diaper down, it is easier to get a good fit on tiny newborn legs. In my experience, the FuzziBunz one size will fit most babies at 6-7 pounds on up.
At the other end of the spectrum, some toddlers outgrow their one size diapers before they are potty trained. You will still save money by cloth diapering, even if your baby happens to be on the higher end of the height/weight charts by two. My daughter outgrew several brands of one size cloth diapers by the age of 2 although she is still under 35 pounds. Unfortunately, the FuzziBunz one size is a brand she grew out of too soon. You just can't always predict when you'll end up with a toddler that clocks in at 90th percentile on height!
We bought several large Perfect Size FuzziBunz diapers and they fit perfectly. When she potty trains, these diapers will still be in great condition. We can either save them for the next child or sell them to recoup part of our cost.
The total outlay for 24 FuzziBunz one size would be $418.80. For the average size child who potty trains by 2 1/2 that is a savings of over $1500 compared to the cost of disposables. If you need to add in a toddler size diaper, the savings are still significant.
I calculated that I spent $204 on 10 large Perfect Size FuzziBunz, if we use them for 1 year we will save over $400 compared to toddler size disposables. If we then sell all of these diapers for $5 each, we'll make back another $180. Keep them for a second child and we could more than double our savings.
The leg and waist elastic are both easy to adjust and it is nice to be able to get just the right size for your baby. Being able to easily replace elastic is a nice touch, since elastic is usually the weak point for any cloth diaper.
I think they are a great investment. The FuzziBunz one size diaper is also very durable, you can expect them to last about 3 years with proper care.

Looking for an honest cloth diaper review?

Let's face it, reviewing cloth diapers has suddenly become the new thing. A lot of moms are now starting review sites in an attempt to get free diapers - and their reviews are less than honest. How do I know? Well, as the owner of an established cloth diaper site, I get a lot of requests for free review diapers. One mom admitted she had never even used a cloth diaper before, but she wanted me to send her some for free to "review.". I politely declined, because if she had never used one, how would she know if mine were any good? How would she compare them to others on the market?

Now, some of those sites are run by honest moms who really say what they think about a diaper - but how do you know?

Yes, I do sell many of the diapers I review. However, I only carry diapers I have tested and that I believe in. Brands I don't like never make it in to my store.

ClothDiaperReviews.com and Cloth-Diaper-Reviews.blogger.com are both my sites. I write honest reviews because I care about what you think. I care about making sure you get the right cloth diapers, not just the ones I can get for free or the ones I can sell for the most money. I have talked with thousands of cloth diapering moms since I started selling cloth diapers in March of 2006. I ask questions and I learn from every mom. Moms who contact me about cloth diapers are often surprised when I recommend a CHEAPER choice than the one they have in mind - or when I tell them that option B will cost a little more today, but will save her hundreds tomorrow. Being completely honest doesn't make mine the biggest cloth diaper store, but it does make it the best!

So, when you read my reviews, you can rest easy knowing you are getting the real details and real comparisons. I take cloth diapering seriously and I have spent years learning all about the different options. Why? So you can have the best cloth diapering experience.
